knitting images

Here  I found images about knitting. Some of them are hilarious. I give you 2 of them. On the right you can find the others in the album "images"

Welshwomenknitting_1

Absolute horror: the welsh homelife. If you are a massmurderer you will be a Welsh woman in your next life. Look at the absurd spinning wheel!

The endless boredom on the faces of these women!

The ridiculous hats!

The husband can't control himself after watching his woman knit.

Let's go knit girl!

Pimp my Sitcom Chic!

Sitcom_4

With a ribbon (not as gold as on the photo) and a crochet-flower.

It was a very easy pattern and fun to knit. I definitly  will use this pattern more often.

Grey's knitting

Greys_1  On american blogs I found this button. Two of my favourites: knitting and watching Grey's. In Holland we are far behind : we are still in season  #1. This means that the knitting episode has not been broadcasted yet.

In the blog of alison you can read her frustration about the obviously not knitting experience of Meredith. But knit-whit thought it was great. What to believe? Anyway I hope it will be here soon so I can make up my own mind.

Sitcom Chic in progress

Sitcomint I am making Sitcom Chic , designed by Bonne Marie Burns.  On the picture you can see that it is knitted in pink.

PINK!

Let's make the following rule:

Pink is forbidden for all humans unless:

1. You are Bonne Marie Burns

2. Your name is Barbie

3. You're not older than 10

I am  none of the above.

So I'm knitting in green.

First I had to knit the body until reaching the armshole.

I wanted to knit on like there was no tomorrow, but  Bonne Marie didn't let me. She was very firm about it: " Put aside and make 2 sleeves"

114_1456 So that is what I am doing now.

go with the flow-socks have arrived

Website_1_1 Finally: Finished!

The motifs and colours turned out to be okay, but I really think the socks need blocking.  The knitting has been poor and I made a mess of it. Some stitches are loose and sometimes the yarn on the inside makes waves on the outside (a sunami more like!)

sockmonkey

Website_sockmonkey_3His natural habitat is on american and canadian blogs, but maybe he can adjust in an europian surrounding as well.

I had to order the red heel socks on e-bay because they are not available here in the Netherlands. If someone knows where one can buy these socks nearby please let me know.

wilma socks

Website_10 Inspired by my cousin Wilma, who's socks you can admire here, I have knitted this pair with Opal Hagenbutte.

Wilma has knitted a dozen or more for her 3 daughters in the most fabulous colours (the socks of course, not the girls, duhh..)

The pattern is from wolhalla
