it's so easy being green

119_1968

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why? Wonder,
I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful!
And I think it's what I want to be.

Thanks to Joe Rapposo en Kermit  we all love green.

It's the green-time of the year I think, because Saskia , Knittingajour, Sock-it-to-me, Jose, Nicole, Pimpampum and the latest MagKnits are also "in to green."  And thanks to Jose, we now know that yvonnep has joined the green-group.

And I am going wild with my green-irish-kind-of-tweed-yarn:

Ellen Verdeijen is the photographer of this picture. She used to live just around the corner, but she and her family moved to Canada a few years ago. Sad for us, because our children played a lot together and their place was the favourite lunchspot for my youngest. I liked visiting her for a talk, coffee or a glass of wine. In Canada she is making the most beautiful pictures and the home-stayers are very proud of her. Have a look at her site and taste more!

the return of the bad ass knitter

Green_bad_ass_sweater_in_his_natural_env I am back like never before: my new job took all the energy so the last few weeks I haven't done much knitting . I haven't done anything else for that matter than concentrate on work.

But the starting-fase is over, I had a week off so I allowed this hard-working girl to buy some new yarn.

It's green.

Again.

Have no fear, little one:

For I am the bad-ass knitter!

It will be a sweater for walks at the beach on a windy day or a walk in the woods on a soft autumn day like today. That's why I  photographed it in what will be his natural environment: to put him at ease and let him get used to nature. He liked it. .
