July 2007

gifts

The nicest things of blogging and Flickr are the contacts with all sort of crafties all over the world. When I placed this photo at Flickr, little Dutch girl noticed the dutch farmer fabric. We soon came to an agreement: I would send her the desired fabric, in return she would find some quiltfabric for me.

A few days later, these flowers were sent to me from  the usa: thanks again, Jennita!

Another blogfriend (closer to home) commented on my post: I have some fabrics if you want: you would really help me, because that will give some space in the house.

Well who am I to say no to a blogfriend?

This is the huge box I took home, filled with  josé's "leftovers":

Some of the contents:

Little retro flowers, especially the third from the right is perfect for my quilt.

This is how José got her talent for foreign languages: By reading her clothes...

Look at the blond German: ER LIEBT MICH NICHT! (what else did you expect when you are drawn this awful)

But this is my altime favourite: a 70's childrens fabric.

Happy

Tomorrow I will go to Crete, Greece for a  two-weeks vacation, hoping to look as happy as the couple above.

may your hands always be busy

Last week I did NOT knit. Tt's really weird, because the last 3 years I have been knitting every day. But nevertheless: my hands were busy as usual.

The front:

A detail of the back. I just love the crafty way the back looks.

And look at this cuties:

Yes, I pinned the poor things. But it is all for a good cause. So don't feel sorry for them. They are sacrifising themselves for the love of their maker. (ME! ME!)
