The 10th of june was my birthday. I had to work that day which was in fact useless. Hardly any work was done because of cake eating collegues and receiving kisses and hugs. In the evening we went with a total of 8 family members to a restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal. A great day.
Ofcourse there were presents. I will show you the present that my husband gave me: I could choose a bag at Mirjam Zwolsman, a dutch bag-designer who happens to live in the same neighbourhood as I do. Besides bags she designes this very cute hats for children, Buddybugs. You can change the picture at the front, cool prints of typical kiddo-animals are included. (crocodile! shark! puppy!)
I gave her the content of my old working bag and asked her to design me a bag in which all this clutter would fit.
This is the result. I am so happy with it, I love the birdie, the place for my glasses, phone, keys, agenda, wallet, workingpass and more.

And if you are wondering what the first picture is all about: because I turned 46 and received my holiday payment "vakantiegeld", I allowed myself to buy a little bitsy piece of art.
In my hometown the Graphic Design Festival takes place. The Graphic Museum
De Beyerd wil be opened on juni 11th.
There are exhibitions and a lot of posters from graphic designers. There is also a poster of the graphic design studio Battery&Battery that has designed our snb logo:

There are projections on buildings:

(see the knitting motif?)
There is already a lot of contraversion about the festival and the museum about a poster and flags. But that is what Dutch people do: nag, nag, nag when there is something new and innovating.
I think Breda looks more vibrant than ever. Visit us and enjoy!
