The renaissance of a teacher

Do you remember my mohair scarf? 

I have given it to my mother in law. The colour blue was too soft for me. Guess I am just not the springtime kind of girl. 

Now I am knitting the scarf in malabrigo lace, colour: paris night. Paris and night: now that is a combination that fits me more. 

The yarn has different shades of dark blue and is incredible soft. Love it. 

I used to be a teacher in textile techniques. My shop is giving the inner teacher in me a renaissance. This is the plan: technique kits for HolyWoly : this is going to be the: "How to knit lace kit". Others can be: how to knit ....cables, colourwork and so on. The kit wil contain the yarn,needles and clear step-by-step instructions. 

But now be silent, children, ' cause mrs. Teach has to knit ,knit, knit...

Coraline is a hype, I know. But I have never seen such a smart marketing on a movie. It made me curious enough to buy the book and sew some buttons on.

Needles: 2 1/2 and 3 mm

Maybe I don't look happy, but that is because I had to knit it twice> The first on needles 3 and 4 turned into a sort of rasta hat. Now it fits perfectly.

My brother in law Robert, helped me big with my shop HolyWoly! He translated everything in english and transformed the text into a readable one. 

As a humble thank you I have knitted him a pair of socks, called "Senor socks". Yes the pattern comes  from skp 2008, but because he is a huge Dylan fan, I called the socks differently.

Well they are disconnected as you can see. Strange that I did not notice it until I packed the pair.

But they are according my motto: perfection is only for the great commandor.
