caps for two babies and a dog

Lots of babies are being born.

So lots of knitting to do.

Like these two caps.

yarn: noro sock (colour) and opal uni (white)

Since I have no babies anymore to model these caps, I thought it was a good idea to use a head that comes as close as possible to a baby's size of what is available in da house

Number 1 did not want to model:

Number 2 was a natural and posed like a real pro:

Who needs a baby when you have a dog like this?

For Rik, Adriaan and Jordi I made "Hug Me" 's. Another friend of Rik turned 20. An age in which you are desperatly in need of a softie. Rik and Len are friends since highschool, but they could not be more different: Len is determined, serious and very, very busy. Rik is more the relaxed type.

Since two years Len studies Contrabas at the conservatorium in Rotterdam.

So it had to be a contrabas:

The curl at the top of the instrument became the ears:

The wood as the skin:

The instrument itself as the butt:

And the musicnotation became the hands:

New in my shop HolyWoly! : Hemp 6LUX.

Hemp is the ultimate seasonal yarn: cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Hemp is a natural fibre, simular to knitting with other cellulose or bast fibres like linen. It is extremely efficient from an evironmental point of view. Hemp needs no pesticides or herbicides because it is unpalatable to insects and it grows too quickly for any weed to compete.

Allhemp 6 LUX is the softest yarn of all hempyarns. It can be thrown in the washer and drier without fibre degradation. And the best part is: it will not shrink, stretch, pill or fade and will only get better and softer with time!
